Radio Courses

Radio Announcing (RA-01)

Description: This course develops students voice talent for announcing positions in the communications industry. Emphasis is placed on broadcast industry skills, voice development, familiarization with station operation and various formats of announcing. The students produce a final audition tape to be used when seeking future career opportunities.

Tuition: $7,500 (9 months average course study)

 

Radio Announcing Supplement (RAI-02)

Supplement includes Internet Radio Programming on WCSB

Tuition: $9,500 (12 months average course study)

 

Radio Introduction to Internet broadcasting (RI-03)

Description: The Radio production course gives students a background in radio production techniques. It is designed to teach skills in recording sound and editing for Internet broadcasting. Students develop ability to interface with the Internet using broadcasting techniques and computer skills. Emphasis is placed on the role of the broadcaster to utilize the internet as a communications medium beyond pure text submissions. This technical skill course trains students to create intergraded programs ready for streaming on the internet.

Tuition: $5,500 (4 months average course study)

 

Radio Sports Announcing Play- By-Play (RSA-04)

Description: This course provides students the opportunity to gain the “how to” knowledge in play by play sports announcing. Students receive individualized online instruction, critiques, suggestions, and guidance on radio sports broadcasting from national instructors, including professional sportscasters. Class size is limited to four (4) students.

Tuition: $3,500 (5 months average course study)
